Bio: La Fonda is led by Filipino American sisters, Valerie and Veronica Topacio who use music and writing to navigate the many unpredictable roller coasters of living and adulting. The sisters can’t help but turn almost every emotional aspect of their lives into a catchy indie pop banger that is clearly inspired by their shared love for the 2000s era and storytelling. The band formed in early 2016 when the sisters connected with longtime friend Jesse Cole whose lead guitar is truly the cherry on top of the sisters' sweet harmonic vocals. Soon after connecting with Jesse, the sisters “swiped right” on a dating app leading them to Bryan Dever on bass and later, Jacob Whinihan on the drums. In early 2021, La Fonda released their first album titled “New Self, Old Ways” and has opened for bands such as Alvvays, Snail Mail, Joseph, and Bonny Doon as well as played in festivals such as Capitol Hill Block Party, Belltown Bloom, Fisherman's Village and more!
