Rules:

1. Entries will be accepted 9:00am and 5:45pm on entry day. One entry per color (see color list) in each lot will be accepted.

2. The flower show committee will exercise care in handling and displaying entries but CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OR BREAKAGE. Plants or containers having special sentimental or monetary value should not be entered.

5. Entries must be grown in San Juan County by the exhibitor.

6. WELL GROOMED ENTRIES AND CORRECT NAMING OF VARIETIES INCREASES THE VALUE OF THE EXHIBIT.

7. Entries must be made according to classification described in the following sections. Use correct number of blooms, stems, stalks or sprays as listed in the schedule; otherwise, entries will be disqualified. Stalks or sprays should not include flowers that are past full bloom and are deteriorating; they should
include unopened buds or buds showing color.

8. Buds showing color are defined as blooms (i.e. 3 stems of aster, one of which has an added bud showing color would be defined as four blooms, thus disqualifying the entry).

This will alleviate the backlog of entries and crowding of exhibitors during check-in.
